Born in Dallas and raised in Athens, Texas, Debbie attended Stephen F. Austin State University before beginning her veterinary career. With two veterinarian cousins and a veterinary nurse sister, working with animals runs in the family.

Although Debbie and her husband, Blake, have two wonderful daughters, Chloe and Katie Beth, Debbie readily admits that her "first born" is Mikey. Mikey is a Norfolk terrier that she helped deliver by C-Section. Their other pets include, Crosby, a bottle fed kitten; Hudson, a Labrador Retriever; Murphy, a kitten abandoned in the Katy Trail courtyard; and Nicco, a most precious dwarf Siamese cat.

Debbie loves spending time with her family and friends. Debbie enjoys camping, floating the Guadalupe, and traveling. She feels very fortunate to have found a career working with pets and their families and feels rewarded every day.
